Montana Marathon Volunteer Opportunities

The Montana Governor’s Cup Marathon cannot be a success without the dedication of volunteers from the start to the finish! Please let us know if you can help, and where you want to be on race day.

- Aid stations start at mile 3/5. Tables are to be set up, water and sport drinks filled and stacked, trash bags provided to each stop for garbage in the area. Bring a boom box, put up a company, school or club banner and yell encouragement to the runners. Times vary.

- Road guards are needed for intersections and changes in direction on the course. Times vary.

- Finish line helpers are needed for the timing company, directing runners into the stadium, setting up sponsor banners, flagging and traffic cones, finish line balloon. Also the refreshment tables need to be set up, water and food set out, award table to be set up. Times vary.

I know that running/helping in a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I am in adequate physical, mental and medical condition to volunteer in this event. In consideration of acceptance of my volunteering, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Yellowstone Rimrunners, RRCA, Time Out Sports, Race Officials, other Volunteers, Perfect Timing, the City of Billings, School District #2, Yellowstone County, State of Montana, Montana Stars, and any and all sponsors from any and all liability arising from illness, injury and damages I may suffer as a result of my volunteering in this event. I grant permission for all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, videos and recordings of this event for any legitimate purpose.
